The Serve not Sell Business Model

Often times when we get into a business where we make money through selling products or opportunities, we forget the most important part.  We are not here to sell, we are here to serve.  We want to learn the “Serve not Sell” business model.

When we focus on getting sales, we forget that people really don’t want to be sold.  They want a solution to their problems, whatever they might be.

Sounds simple doesn’t it.  But what he really means is to take your focus off selling and put it on serving?Serve not sell.

I am guilty of putting my products and opportunities out there in front of people, hoping they will buy.  I have forgotten the powerful “serve not sell” model, which essentially takes the focus off of YOU and YOUR needs and puts the focus on the people in front of you.  What do they need?  How can you help them?

So when you wake up in the morning, instead of asking yourself “How many sales can I get today,” ask yourself “How can I Serve?”

Putting your focus back on the people you are here to help and finding out what their needs are will put you on the track of your greatest success.

So here are three things to think about that will help you to serve.

1)  Develop an audience of people you can help to be successful. (Get Leads Here)

2)  Learn the skill of Copywriting, and write your own copy.  (don’t use form letter copy.  Be unique, share your own personality and story.)

3)  Realize that spamming people with your offer won’t bring you the results you want.  But making a compelling offer that provides a solution to a problem will.

How will you know what the problem is people are trying to solve? Since you want to attract an audience of people who relate to you, think about what problem you started in your business to solve and speak to yourself.  What did you most need to know when you got started?  What were your worries, fears and concerns?  What was/is your greatest need?

Most people won’t be successful in marketing, until they understand the “serve don’t sell” model.

It really doesn’t matter what you business is.  Any business requires marketing and the “Serve not Sell, Business Model is the most effective way to tackle marketing.
